For Authors

Manuscript Guidelines

We prefer all manuscripts submitted to Marquette Benefits and Social Welfare Law Review to include an abstract, but all submissions must include a curriculum vitae.

We welcome submissions from professors, practitioners, as well as students.

Manuscripts should (1) follow The Texas Law Review Manual on Usage & Style; (2) be double-spaced in Microsoft Word; and (3) generally should not exceed fifty pages in length. Citations should follow the format in the 21st Edition of “The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation,” and should include all information called for by that system of citation.

Writers from other disciplines should be aware that their citations will be converted to Bluebook form by editorial staff, in collaboration with the author who must provide all material necessary to complete the citations. Within the article, authors should use headings and subheadings to direct reader attention and provide emphasis. All pages should be numbered.

If you have any further questions regarding submission guidelines, please contact Samantha at benefitslaw@marquette.edu.
